Online Shopping Addiction

Well yes, I’ve done it. I’ve gone ahead and become addicted to online shopping.
Now before you say…what!?! You need help, you need to get that fixed…let me say that I am prone to being dramatic. I’m not foaming at the mouth if I don’t get to a computer to find something to purchase, but I have found a new appreciation for the practice of shopping at home.
I don’t really know how it got started. I think that I was surfing the internet one day (on a rare day off) and I came upon a site called 80′s Purple. They sell some of the most beautiful clothing and accessories I have ever seen. Of particular interest was a pair of sunglasses that I couldn’t keep my eyes off of. I was like “…wow, those are hot!” but I didn’t want to pay for them. Still days later they were on my mind until someone (who is a stylist) told me that personal style is whatever I make of it and if I see a piece I love and don’t get it, and then think about it for days later, I should probably get it (if I can afford it).
So that’s what I did. And I loved the purchase!! The beauty of all of this is that I didn’t even pay full price thanks to the 80′s Purple promo codes I found on Wantacode.com.
A couple of days later, I received my purchase and wrote an online review of how beautiful they were. Being in front of my computer again, I allowed myself to browse online stores again with my husband. We found some great Expedia travel deals. We didn’t hesitate a moment to use an Expedia coupon code that took 35% off of our car rental. I can’t tell you how many trips we’ve paid full-price for without having to.
Over the last five months I’ve gotten everything from bedding to other electronics to skin care items and jeans. And let me tell you–there is not one thing I would take back. And you can…I just don’t need to because, in addition to getting amazing promo codes and deals from Wantacode, the stuff is that awesome.
I never thought I would like shopping online so much but many of the items are too good to pass up with phenomenal deals to go with them. And it beats going to the store any day of the week.
Today, I found a great Restaurant.com promo code and purchased a $25 restaurant gift certificate for only $5. Now that’s a deal too good to pass up.
I may have an online shopping addiction but it’s one that I’m proud of. I only get the things that my family and I really need and I don’t junk up the house with crap. They key is to recognize a great deal when you see it.
Tell me, are you a proud online shopping addict?
